What We Can Change

What We Need From You

  • The part and the bike — make, model and year, and what it is replacing.
  • The drawing — 2D PDF or 3D STEP/IGES. We ask for it by email after your enquiry.
  • Material — Aluminium as standard; steel where the part needs it.
  • Finish and branding — the colour you want, and the logo file to be marked.
You do not upload anything to start. Send the requirement through the enquiry form; we reply by email and ask for exactly the files we need — nothing more.

Protection You Can Still Service

A guard that covers everything is a guard you take off to change the oil. The outline is a compromise, and it is worth settling on paper.

1. Sump profile and the lowest pointWhere the plate actually has to be, and how much room the front wheel needs at full compression. Those two answers set the outline more than the frame does.
2. Drain plug and filter accessPosition, plus the swing the tool needs. A hole in the wrong place means the plate comes off at every service, which is how guards end up in a shed.
3. What you mount it toExisting frame bosses, or the engine cases. Load taken on the cases goes into the cases - which is why we ask where your fixings are before drawing blocks.
4. Tank brackets carry moving massThe bracket holds fuel, and fuel moves. Isolation between bracket and tank matters as much as the thickness of the plate.
5. The front lipA blunt leading edge digs in; a ramped one slides over roots and rocks. It is a shape decision, not a strength decision, and it is cheap now.

If your frame has no usable bosses, say so at the enquiry. We will draw a clamp arrangement instead of assuming holes that are not there - that assumption is the most common reason a guard comes back.

Your Drawing Becomes the Part

This is the only thing we need to quote: the geometry. Everything else we settle with you by email.

What we will not do

We do not reproduce original equipment parts and we do not copy factory appearance. Every part is a generic structure built to your own design. Before production starts we ask for trademark authorisation for your mark and a non-infringement undertaking. No Mosvolt branding appears on the finished part.

Skid Plates & Tank Brackets Quick Answers

Yes. Send the frame, the sump and where you need access for draining and filter changes; the plate outline and the bracket positions follow from that. Submit the requirement and we ask for the drawing by email.

A 2D PDF or a 3D STEP/IGES. Submit the enquiry first and we will ask for the drawing by email — you do not need to upload anything to get a quote started.

Aluminium as standard, steel where the part needs it. Anodised in a colour matched to your brand where the material allows, with your logo laser-marked on the part.

Where a process does require tooling, it is quoted separately as its own line — never bundled into the unit price.

Priced per drawing and quantity — there is no list price for custom geometry. A sample is produced and charged at full rate, and it is not credited against the production order.

No. We do not reproduce original equipment parts and we do not copy factory appearance. Every part is a generic structure built to your own design, and we ask for trademark authorisation plus a non-infringement undertaking before production starts.

Other Directions We Build to Order

Same factory, same process. If your part is not a skid plate, it is probably one of these.

Images are representative renders of our manufacturing capability — every part is produced to your drawing and carries your brand.
